Our transportation service is regulated by the Guna General Congress, with daily pickups in Panama City between 5 and 5:20 am. Be ready on time and pack only the essentials. The scenic 2.5-hour drive includes a stop halfway for snacks and bathroom breaks. We use comfortable 4x4 SUVs, seating up to six passengers plus the driver. Seats are randomly assigned, but special accommodations can be made if needed—just let us know in advance. Looking for something different? Try our Cayos Holandeses tours as well!


When visiting Aroma Island or other parts of Guna Yala, please note that accommodations are typically basic, with shared facilities and no private bathrooms. While some islands may have fans and solar-powered electricity, air conditioning is not available. The quality of bedding is fair, and we recommend bringing extra water and snacks, especially if you have dietary needs. Meals and one drink are included in all our tours, and vegetarian options are available on request. Keep in mind, drones are prohibited, and Sea San Blas has no control over local rules set by the Guna General Congress.


San Blas, including Aroma Island, is a tropical paradise but expect occasional rain. Weather forecasts are unreliable, and trips go ahead as planned unless there’s a storm or dangerous conditions. Safety is our priority, and trips may be delayed or canceled due to rough seas or strong winds. While no refunds are provided for rain, we do offer refunds for safety-related cancellations.
