When setting off on a trip to Diablo Island in San Blas, it's good to know that most accommodations and restroom facilities in the area are basic, with some leaning towards the more traditional side. Shared lodgings usually don't have private bathrooms. While there's no air conditioning on the islands, some spots might provide fans and electricity through solar power or generators. The quality of mattresses and pillows on most islands is generally decent, though not luxurious. Despite ongoing improvements in the region's infrastructure, the San Blas Islands are open to everyone and need no introduction. Our exciting tours include meals and a drink of your choice, but it's a good idea to bring extra water and snacks. Vegetarian meal options can be arranged on specific tours, but it's smart to bring your snacks if you have particular dietary requirements. Lastly, remember that using drones is not allowed in the San Blas Islands.
In Panama, you can count on plenty of rain, especially in spots like the San Blas Islands. Weather forecasts aren't always spot-on, often indicating overcast skies with a chance of rain. If it does rain during your excursions, they typically proceed as scheduled unless there's a storm or severe weather. Safety is the priority, so trips may be rescheduled or canceled if there are strong winds or rough seas. Regrettably, no refunds are provided for rain or bad weather, but you'll receive one if a trip is called off for safety reasons. When journeying into Diablo Island and Guna Yala, you might experience morning showers as you traverse the mountains, thanks to the tropical rainforest climate.
