San Blas has a tropical climate, meaning rain is common, and forecasts are often unreliable. Trips continue as scheduled unless safety is a concern due to storms or rough seas. Refunds are only issued for cancellations due to severe weather. The morning drive to Diablo Island often includes light rain when crossing the mountains into Guna Yala, but it typically clears up upon arrival.
