Native Indigenous people called Gunas. We Guna's have been living here on the islands for hundreds of years. 

The daily Guna diet is very seafood heavy and is often combined with some type of starchy food such as rice or potatoes. 

A mola or molas, form part of the traditional outfit of a Guna woman on the San Blas Island.

There is not a best island in San Blas. All islands are unique with their own features, attractions and sizes.

The only way to get to the San Blas Islands is by making your reservation with a licensed trip operator like Sea San Blas. 

There are well over 300 different islands however only 45 of these islands have in habitants and or some type of infrastructure.

Yes, there are many different types of sharks here at the San Blas Islands. However many of the sharks found and seen here are docile and not a threat.

We still recommend you to use all precautions if you encounter a shark as they are wild animals.
